BEng (or Battle Engine) is a Dragon Warrior-esque turn based battle system for IRC. It's written in perl, with the last release being around December 2001 on Freshmeat under a public domain license.
The project and the community surrounding BEng died some years ago, and the source code practically disappeared off of the net. I was fortunate enough to scrounge up a copy thanks to archive.org and mirror it here for your pleasure.
